Polyethylene (PE) is probably the most common polymer in our daily lives. It is the most popular plastic in the world. This polymer is found in grocery and supermarket bags, detergent containers, children's toys, garbage bags, fruit and beverage boxes, and irrigation pipes, among others. Because it is such a versatile material, it is found in large quantities and is classified into two main groups:

• High-density polyethylene (HDPE) pellets.
• Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) pellets.

Each of them can be supplied with a specific color and fluidity, depending on the field of application (extrusion-film or injection-blow-molding).

Polypropylene (PP) has been one of the fastest-growing polymers in recent years, and its consumption is expected to continue to outpace that of other major thermoplastics. It is used in a wide variety of sectors, including flexible packaging, fabrics and ropes, synthetic fibers, pallets, strapping, flower pots, automotive components, profiles and tubes, and all types of injection-molded parts.

The polypropylene pellets obtained can be supplied with a specific color, fluidity (viscosity) and mechanical properties, depending on its final application.
